In today's world when everybody and their grandma has a blog, it's become fashionable to own a blog.

Not to be left behind, freelancers are now busy setting up their blogs and their Facebook pages.

That's all good.  And, in fact, it's increasingly considered essential for business.

• Blogging is a means to brand your business.
• Blogging is a very useful way to generate leads and take part in the conversation.
• Blogging is great to voice your opinion on matters regarding your industry, business or your brand.

However, it's important to remember that blogging is NOT the business.

Wherein I Reveal How I Differentiate Myself From Other Transcribers

Transcription as a job is not that all difficult. It really boils down to listening to an audio and typing out the content onto a word processor.

All it requires is language skills and typing skills.

Every person can do that in varying level of competence and expertise.

That said, these days companies only hire once in a while and number of transcribers is increasing day by day.

Therefore, transcribers have to find better ways at marketing themselves to secure suitable employment in this saturated market.

What really differentiates me from other transcribers is not really my skills - typing or transcribing.

It's not the fact that I registered myself at online jobsites like Naukri.com or have a Linkedin account.

I also use Facebook and Twitter to connect with other transcribers and transcription companies. And, I hope you do too.

I also used Google Alerts to capture any and every transcription job available.
