Blogging Softwares and Webhosting

If you plan to building a business around your passion(s), you need a blog or website to reach out to other people.  Whether you are marketing your services or simply showcasing your expertise in your profession, blogs do come in handy.

Free Blogs:  I use free blogs to test-run ideas I have or to test the potential of an idea.  You can use Blogger.com or WordPress.com to host your free blogs for free!  Need help?  Contact me - careytranscripts @gmail.com

Self-hosted blogs/Pro-blogging:  However, if you are seriously getting into business and marketing your business you have to be professional and get your own self-hosted blogs.

WordPress (from WordPress.org) is my favorite when it comes to professional blogs.  A few of my blogs are self-hosted WordPress blogs.  They are easy to customize even for a non-coder/non-designer like me.

The trick is to find the best webhosting company.  For me, that's WPWebhost.  These guys specialize in WordPress blog hosting and are really helpful with my queries and technical difficulties (you will face these when you self-host, even if you are a designer or coder).
